North East Council Casting Day

On June 1, 2019 the North East Council of Fly Fishers International will be hosting our first annual Fly Casting Day.  The event is being held at Town Landing in Durham, New Hampshire starting at 9am and expected to conclude at about 3pm.

What you can expect to take away from the day will be some of the finest fly casting demonstrations and instruction cram packed into one event.  Masters in single and two hand casting will offer you the basics to advanced techniques that they use every day on the water.  A group of Certified Casting Instructors will be conducting a youth clinic all day to get our most valuable fly fishers learning to use a fly rod with purpose.

As the day moves forward we will be conducting first the youth fish race.  Each young caster eight to fifteen years of age, who attends the clinic, will be entered and no charge into the youth race.  The winner will receive a FlySpoke Explorer Series 8'0" 5 Weight Fly Rod complete with Okuma reel, Rio Fly Line, Leader and Zipper Carrying Case.

Directly after the Youth Race we will conclude the day with The Great Bay Fish Race.

Please, come join us for what is expected to be a great opportunity to enhance your casting ability.   Make sure you bring your Striped Bass gear as after the conclusion of the event a number of instructors will be heading into the Bay to wade fish through low tide.
